Plot

Byung-su (Sul Kyunggu) is a former serial killer who kept a secret memoir describing his killings which were done, according to him, because his victims deserved to die for the atrocities they committed. Byung-su stopped committing criminal acts in favour of living a normal life with his beloved daughter after a traumatic car accident that he was involved in. Seventeen years later he is diagnosed with Alzheimer's as a long-term aftereffect of the accident. When a series of murders begin in the local area, Byung-su starts to fear that he is committing the murders during his occasional memory lapses, until he comes across Tae-ju, his daughter's boyfriend and the man that Byung-su is convinced is the true killer. As it's impossible to report Tae-ju, a police officer by trade, to the authorities, Byung-su goes looking for the proof he needs that Tae-ju is a psychopath and his suspicions are heightened when Tae-ju's interest in Byung-su and his daughter are heightened and Byung-su realises that somebody is hacking into his secret memoir.

Byung-su must somehow protect his daughter, Eun-hee, from Tae-ju whilst also fighting his own fading memory of events of the past and the present.

'Memoirs of a murderer' is directed by Shin-yeon Wun and stars Kyung-gu Sol as Byung-su.
