Mi novia otaku

A Japanese manga artist meets a designer who is a fan of otaku culture, who proposes they work together to publish a manga. As they begin the project together, they get to know each other better and all their tastes come to light.

What initially seemed like just a work relationship turns into a beautiful love story, where their passion for everything related to Japanese culture becomes a bond between them. But not everything will go as they want, as their fears and insecurities will also intertwine as their relationship progresses, leading them to do some introspection within themselves in order to continue being together.

The director of 'My Otaku Girlfriend' is Venezuelan Edio Raven, who makes his feature film debut after directing several short films: 'First Love' (2019), 'Retro' (2020), and '33 Greenland Drive'. The two protagonists, Manuel and Marta, are played by Miguel Ángel Hidalgo and Marta Márquez, although the cast also includes Frank Coello, who had already appeared in the miniseries 'Carabobo, Caminos De Libertad' and in the film 'Hambre'.
