Plot
'Migas de pan' is a drama based on real facts. The film is inspired by Liliana Pereira's life, politic ex-convict of the last uruguayan dictatorship (1973-1985). She was in prison in 1975 for her beliefs, she was tortured too and she lost the custody of her son. Several years later when Liliana is installed in Spain she decides to go back to her country for face her past. There she have to decide what to do, follow her heart or do what her conscience says. She have to face a dilemma, choose her son or participate in collective complaint which her old friends of the prison prepare. The film starring Cecilia Roth, one of the muses of Pedro Almodóvar ('All About My Mother' and 'I'm So Excited').

The title
According to the director of the film, Manane Rodriguez, the film is entitled 'Breadcrumbs' because of the different uses that women gave to the crumbs while they were in prison.
