Four years have passed since Hutch Mansell, an apparently ordinary man, faced the Russian organized crime and awakened the violence within him. Now, although he is still involved in an endless chain of lethal missions against international criminals, he does not do it for pleasure, but because he carries a debt of 30 million dollars with the Russian mafia, which continues to collect at any cost necessary.

Burdened by the weight of his past and the exhaustion of his work as a silent executioner, Hutch struggles to keep his role as a father and husband afloat. So, along with his wife Becca, a successful woman with an interesting past of her own, they decide to take a much-needed vacation. The destination: Wild Bill's Majestic Midway and Waterpark, a unique water park, the same one where Hutch, in his childhood, used to go with his brother Harry.

Accompanied by their children, Brady and Sammy, and with the presence of his father David, a retired FBI agent, the Mansell family seeks a summer respite, fun, and a recovery of family bonds.

But nothing goes as they hoped, in this small tourist town called Plummerville, a trivial encounter with some local thugs triggers a chain reaction. Suddenly, their moment of peace turns into a nightmare, as the family finds themselves caught between the interests of a corrupt theme park operator, an equally corrupt sheriff, and a ruthless criminal, the enigmatic Lendina, played by Sharon Stone, a villain who combines lethal calm with unpredictable explosiveness, and who demands a "scorched earth" response from anyone who dares to challenge her.

Forced once again to leave his role as a father to revive the disciplined killer, Hutch becomes the center of violent conflicts that seem to grow uncontrollably, from hand-to-hand fights to bloody confrontations with thugs and hitmen.

The tone of the film mixes intense action, sharp black humor, and tense family emotions. Timo Tjahjanto, directing behind the camera, leaves behind the dark and urban settings of the first film to offer a vibrant summer aesthetic that is still laden with violence, transporting Hutch from factories and warehouses to a vacation environment that turns into a battlefield.

The cast brings together familiar faces, Bob Odenkirk returns as Hutch, Connie Nielsen as Becca, RZA as Harry, Christopher Lloyd as father David, Michael Ironside and Colin Salmon in supporting roles, and new actors join the mix such as Colin Hanks, playing the corrupt sheriff Abel, John Ortiz as the corrupt park operator, along with the young actors portraying the younger versions of Hutch and Becca.
