Plot
'Nobody Wants the Night' is a movie directed by Isabel Coixet. Set in 1908, 'Nobody Wants The Night' tells the story of Josephine Peary (Juliette Binoche), a self-confident, brave woman that embarks on a dangerous journey to join her husband, the explorer Robert Peary, to share with him the moment of glory after he discovers the North Pole. Through an epic journey through brash ice by one of the most inhospitable places in the world she manage alongside some polar explorers to get to his husband's hut but he's nowhere to be found. She refuses to go back home so she decides to wait for her husband through the winter with no company besides Allaka, an Inuit young woman who lives in a igloo. She later will find out that she has lots of thing in common and she will be able to change her rigid ideas about the world and life itself.

The film opened the Berlin Film Festival and closed the Seminci of Valladolid.
The film is inspired by real people and was shot in and around Finse (Norway), Sofia (Bulgaria) and Tenerife (Spain).
It has been a great European production of 6.3 million euros (co-production between Spain (70%), France (20%) and Bulgaria (10%)).
