Based on the story of a female Indian Kabbadi player, a contact sport unfamiliar to the Western world but very popular in Southeast Asia, 'Panga' will focus on the successes achieved by this player, who had to overcome a multitude of problems that she was forced to face simply for being a woman within in a patriarchal society and a macho sport. The film will explore the importance of the love and support provided by family when it comes to achieving the goals that one sets in life. 'Panga' is a story of overcoming risks and social struggle, of love and friendship. It is, in short, a story that explores the importance of fighting and making sacrifices in order to achieve your dreams, no matter how many difficulties arise nor how much adversity stands in your way. 'Panga' is directed by Ashwiny Iver Tiwari (known for 'Half the Sky', 'Bareilly Ki Barfi') and is written by Nikhil Mehrotra ('Dangal', 'Kill Dil').
