Plonger

César and Paz are two photographers. He, a war reporter, needs space and silence. She, wild and insatiable spirit, is always searching for new encounters, new people, new places. When Paz gets pregnant, the situation is about to consume her and it isn't long until she escapes, abandoning her family to start deep-diving into the depths of the ocean.

This is the third film as director of Mélanie Laurent, who is also an actress, after 'Les adoptés' and 'Respire', and casts as lead actors Gilles Lellouche and María Valverde. It is based upon the novel of the same name by Christophe Ono-dit-Biot and it was premiered at the Toronto Film Festival 2017. Its title, "plonger", means "to dive" in English.
