Plot

In the twelfth century in Japan under the doors of a collapsed temple in Rashomon, three people talk while waiting for the rain to pass to be able to go. One of them tells a story. He tells everyone that a samurai has been murdered and the police have interrogated those involved in the crime. The four involved are the murderer of the samurai, the samurai's wife, a woodcutter who saw everything and the same samurai through a medium.
