Road to Istanbul

'Road to Istambul' is a dramatic thriller directed by Rachid Bouchareb that was released for the first time on the 66th Berlin International Film Festival on the Panorama section.

Based on the true events that are currently occurring in Europe, 'Road to Istambul' tells the story of Elizabeth, a single mother from Belgium whose world starts to crumble when the police come to her house to let her know that her only daughter, Elodie, has left the country to join the Islamic State in Syria. Still in shock and without understanding why she would do that, she will embark on a dangerous journey into that troubled territory in order to find her daughter safe and to convince her to leave ISIS before it's too late.
