Plot

'Sense Sostre' ('Sin Techo') is an immersion into poverty and homelessness told in a first person view. Joan (Enric Molina) is an alcohol addict who lives in the streets of Barcelona with his dog Tuc earning a bit of money off selling drawings to turists. His exasperation is attenuated by his, less and less frequent, calls with his daughter Roser (Laia Manzanares) and his meetings with his dad (José María Blanco). After one of this calls, Joan gets so drunk that he loses Tuc and gets beaten down. A last impulse takes him to an superhuman trip to an end he only knows.

The movie was written and directed by Xesc Cabot and Pep Garrido, recorded by non-professional actors who have been homeless in the past. They wrote the script with the help of people who have lived in the streets. The relationship between filmmakers and actors have been completely horizontal. "In that sense, we could consider them co-authors of the project. We tried to have constant contact to keep them informed of how the film was doing. They have been with us in promotional acts, in rehearsals or, we simply met with them and spent the afternoon with a coffee". Starring Enric Molina as Joan (the main character), José María Blanco as Andreu (Joan's father), Laia Manzanares, Christian Márquez and Teresa Vallicrosa.
