Plot
The Cuban filmmaker Ernesto Daranas Serrano introduces us in 'Sergio and Sergei' the story of two men separated by the space. In 1991, an amateur radio operator conacts accidentally with the cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev as he observes the dissolution of his nation (URSS) from orbit.
The URSS' dissolution, which take place in 1992, is going to have big consequences to the island, that counted with the country as its main economic supporter. In addition, Sergei is forced to stay in orbit for four months as he watches how his country is changing radically.
The leading roles of the film are played by Tomás Chao (Sergio) and Héctor Noas (Sergei), and will be released on Spanish cinemas on April 20th, 2018.
