Sherpa

A group of directors decided to shoot a film in full the Everest climbing season in 2014 from the point of view of the sherpas. However, they captured a tragedy that would change forever the history of the highest mountain on the planet. On 18 April of 2014 and about 7 in the morning, a block of 14 million tons fell into the icefall Khumbu, in mount Everest, causing the death of at least sixteen nepalese guides. It was the most tragic tragedy experienced in the history of Mount Everest. 'Sherpa' is presented as a hard documentary that tells the story of union of the sherpas to pain, disaster and loss. The documentary is directed by Australian filmmaker Jennifer Peedom. The original music was composed by Antony Partos.
