Snow White

This movie is a 'remake' while bringing to live action the classic animated and first animated feature film from Disney, 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' from 1937. The original film is based, in turn, on the 1812 fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm.

The classic tale tells the story of Snow White, a princess of great beauty who awakens the envy of her stepmother, the Evil Queen. The latter is obsessed with being the most beautiful in the kingdom, so she consults her magic mirror every day to ask who is the fairest in the land, until one day it reveals that Snow White is now the most beautiful. Enraged, the Queen orders a hunter to take her into the woods and kill her, but he cannot do it and lets her escape. The young woman finds refuge in the house of seven dwarfs who live in the forest. The Queen, upon discovering that she is still alive, attempts to kill her several times, and finally manages to poison her with an apple. Snow White falls into a deep sleep until a prince finds her and revives her with a kiss of true love. In the end, the prince and Snow White live happily ever after, while the Queen receives her punishment.

The fantasy film is a musical directed by Marc Webb ('The Amazing Spider-Man'), written by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson, and starring Rachel Zegler as Snow White, Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, and Ansu Kabia as the Hunter. The composer duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul ('La La Land', 'Aladdin', 'The Greatest Showman'), with several Oscar nominations and a Golden Globe, are responsible for the music and songs.
