Strange Way of Life

Silva is a man who crosses with his horse the desert that separates him from Bitter Creek with the intention of visiting his old friend, Sheriff Jake. About twenty-five years ago, the sheriff and Silva worked together as gun-for-hire. Silva travels to celebrate their reunion, it has been a long time since they last saw each other, but the next morning he reveals to Jake that the real reason for their meeting is not simply to remember their friendship.

Directed and written by the Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar, 'Strange way of life' stars Ethan Hawke, known worldwide for starring in the 'Before Sunrise' trilogy, among many other projects, and Pedro Pascal, an actor we have seen in 'Narcos', 'Game of Thrones' and, more recently, 'The Mandalorian' and 'The Last of Us'.

In the words of the director "'Strange way of life' alludes to the famous fado by Amalia Rodrigues, whose lyrics suggest that there is no existence more strange than the one that lives with its back turned to your own desires".

Shot in the Tabernas desert, in Almería, this story about two gunmen who meet again after twenty-five years features music by Alberto Iglesias and costume design by Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, who also acts as associate producer.
