Sundown

An upper class family decides to spend a pleasant vacation in Acapulco, Mexico. However, they receive a call that interrupts their relaxing days with unpleasant news. While Alice (Charlotte Gainsbourg) is clear that they must return immediately and put an end to their trip, Neil Bennet (Tim Roth) pretends to have lost his passport to continue their vacation, which will only create problems between the two of them.

The feature film is directed and written by producer Michel Franco ('New Order', 'After Lucia'). The cast is headed by Tim Roth ('Pulp Fiction', 'The Hateful Eight') and Charlotte Gaingsbourg ('Antichrist', 'Melancholia'), then completed by Iazua Larios ('Apocalypto', 'Sitiados: México'), Henry Goodman ('Taking Woodstock', 'Avengers: Age of Ultron') and Samuel Bottomley ('Ghost Stories').

It is also a co-production between Mexico, France and Sweden with the participation of Teorema Films, Luxbox, Film I Väst and CommonGround Pictures.

Winner of a Silver Star at the El Gouna Film Festival (Egypt). The film has received several nominations, including Best Film at the Venice International Film Festival, Best Feature at the Chicago International Film Festival and Best Ibero-American Film at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
