Sweet Dreams

Massimo is a nine-year-old kid who enjoys a happy childhood with her mother, a loving but psychologically unstable woman. One morning, the kid is invited to spend a few days at his neighbor's, who will communicate him about his mother's death. Massimo grows up without knowing the causes of her mother's death, and likewise never manages to establish a friendly relationship with his father. Thirty years after the tragic event, Massimo has become a renowned writer and journalist. Then he returns to his family home accompanied by his wife, and there he is invaded by memories of longing and happiness. But his return will also cause questions about the past.

This Italian drama is based on the novel by Massimo Gramellini 'Fai bei sogni'.
