The Estate

Macey (Toni Collette) and Savanna (Anna Faris) are two sisters who are going through a tough moment where they are short of money, but have plenty of will to leave this bad situation. With a lot of effort they manage to don't close their old cafeteria, but they come up with a good idea to get out of their situation of poverty: win the heart of their powerful and rich aunt Hilda, who suffers from a terminal illness, and win a good inheritance. I seems like a perfect plan, but the sisters Macey and Savanna are not the only ones in the family with the desire and the intention of becoming heirs of the angry matriarch. Their cousins Richard (David Duchovny) and Beatrice (Rosemarie DeWitt) will be the rivals who will complicate their strategy so much.

At the direction of 'The Estate' we find Dean Craig ('The Honeymoon', 'Love. Wedding. Repeat'), filmmaker who is also works in the film's script. Alongside the actors named above, the cast is completed by Ron Livingston, who plays Beatrice's obedient husband, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, the little sister obsessed with 'Dungeons and Dragons' and Kathleen Turner, who plays Aunt Hilda, the matriarch of the family who has a good amount of money. Marc Goldberg, Sarah Gabriel, Sarah Jessica Parker and Alison Benson produce the film.
