The Iron Claw

Based on true events, it tells how the inseparable Von Erich brothers made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s. Through tragedy and triumph, under the shadow From their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek unparalleled immortality on sport's biggest stage.

This biographical sports film mainly focuses on the life of professional wrestler Kevin Von Erich, played by Zac Efron. The wrestling dynasty from the 1980s onwards that was enormously successful and popularized professional wrestling. with an iron claw. However, they not only had to fight inside the ring, but also fight the "Von Erich curse" outside of it.

It was written and directed by Sean Durkin and produced and distributed by A24, with Juliette Howell and Angus Lamont producing for House Productions. Along with Zac Efron we will also see Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany and Lily James in the cast.

The film began principal photography in Baton Rouge in October 2022. Marshall Von Erich said he was encouraged by the presence of Chavo Guerrero as a wrestling consultant on set in terms of the production trying to portray accuracy.

'The Iron Claw' will be released in the United States on December 22, 2023.
