The Mortimers

The young Nico is a teenager. At just fifteen years old, he is intelligent and introverted. The boy suffers bullying and mockery from his classmates because his parents are the only owners of the town's funeral home. In search of a friend, he ends up in a cultural exchange program. Through this, a French girl named Gabi arrives, who, with her defiant attitude and accustomed to living adventures, lands in their lives.

When a cemetery worker tells them a terrifying story, the young people can't get it out of their heads. After learning about it, the group of friends begins an investigation in search of the body of the deceased and some jewels that were looted, but this robbery goes much deeper and will only be the Pandora's box for many more adventures.

When they return to their parents, everything has disappeared and no one believes them. From that moment on, Gabi and Nico receive threats and are pursued by the bullies who had already been bothering them, forcing them to flee the place with them. They will have no choice but to join the investigation, so this strange and unexpected gang is determined to uncover the truth, even if it is filled with shadows and dangers.

Álvaro Fernández Armero, filmmaker of movies like 'Ocho apellidos marroquís'; 'Sentimos las molestias'; 'A 1000 km de la Navidad'; 'Madrid, interior'; 'Diarios de cuarentena', directs this feature film in which Jelen Morales adapts the comic by Léa Mazé.
