Plot
In a luxury villa next to the sea, a woman who's at the brink of financial collapse meets her father for the first time and finds a strange family: the father, very rich but mysterious, a whimsical wife, a daughter who's an ambitious businesswoman, a rebellious teenager and a very uneasy servant. Nothing is what it seems, someone is lying and mystery invades all their lives. The evil creeps through the family like poison and they all fight for their own interests.
This French movie is directed by Sébastien Marnier, who's previously directed the films 'Irréprochable' and 'School's Out', and co-written by him and Fanny Burdino, who's worked in scripts like 'Carole Matthieu', 'After Love' and 'Amore mio'. It's a production by Avenue B Productions next to micro_scope and Poison Productions. The film has been nominated in the Venice Film Festival for the Queer Lion prize and the Audience prize.
The cast is integrated by Laure Calamy ('Full Time', 'A World Without Women', 'Only the Animals'), Doria Tillier ('La Belle époque', 'Nothing to Hide'), Dominique Blanc ('Indochine', 'Queen Margot', 'Stand-by'), Jacques Weber ('Don Juan', 'The Lance of Longinus'), Suzanne Clément ('Mommy', 'Laurence Anyways') and Céleste Brunnquell ('Fifi', 'Les éblouis').
