The Salesman

Emad and Rana are a happy Iranian couple whose relationship is floundering due to social pressure. Both are forced to leave their flat when a construction project begins on site next door to them. As a result, they move to a new home located in the center of Tehran. There, an incident related to the previous tenant will forever change the lives of the young lovers.

The director Asghar Farhadi is also the author of the script of this co-production between Iran and France filmed in the language of Farasi. Farhadi won the Oscar for Best Film in a Foreign Language in 2012 and the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival with 'Nader and Simin, a separation'. The film received the awards for Best Screenplay and Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival 2016.
