The Samurai

Alain Delon stars in this mystery thriller in which he plays Jef Costello a murderer whose perfectionism and well-planned crimes have provided him a long career in anonymity. His well organized life will end when some witnesses catch him dispatching the owner of a club. This murder to which he finds impossible to manufacture an alibi, will put the police on track finally to lock him up thanks to that error and the help of some customers who have betrayed him. Nathalie Delon, who once were the wife of this famous French actor, accompanies him in this film that also features Francois Perier and Michel Boisrond.

Jean-Pierre Melville directs this movie that has a script by Melville himself and Georges Pellegrin.
