The Trail Left by Time

Antonio narrates his childhood in a small town in Córdoba during the celebration of Holy Week. He is a solitary and curious boy, full of questions about life, death, and religion. One day he meets Paco, an elderly painter, who becomes his guide. Through their conversations, Antonio begins to express his existential doubts, especially about the meaning of death and its relationship with faith.

Paco, in addition to teaching him how to paint, reveals the importance of observing the world carefully, helping him understand life as a transitional process. Through Antonio's eyes, the boy observes for the first time the meaning of death, fascinated by the figures that process through the streets on the nights of Good Friday.

This hybrid between documentary and fiction is co-directed by Luis (Soto) Muñoz and Alfredo Picazo. Both define the film as "a letter to childhood, to tradition, to local craftsmanship, and to the identity of a land like Andalusia and a town like Baena."
