Plot
'The Truth on the Savolta Affair' is a movie released in 1980 and directed by Antonio Drove. It is set in Barcelona between the years 1917 and 1923, when "pistolerismo" was a daily thing in Spain. A confrontation between anarchist gunmen and hired assassins by the management caused a blood bath, that led to a big number of deaths. The Savolta family tried to end this problem, because it was affecting their family business. In order to to that, they hired assassins to hide their own fishy transactions with Germany. This movie is an adaptation of the novel written by Eduardo Mendoza.
