Plot
Set against the backdrop of the 2011 UK summer months, this movie follows the story of Jamie (Letitia Wright) and Leanne (Isabella Laughland), two black young girls that live in a marginal zone and whose lives have experienced the worst moments two teenage girls could imagine. About to reach age of majority and leave the residence where they have lived after the death pf their parents, they must decide which way to choose: Marginalization through a life full of problems or follow her social worker advices and enroll in the music world. Michael Caton-Jones' ('This Boy Life') 'Urban Hymn' is produced by Nick Moorcroft. The cast is completed by Shirley Henderson Ian Hart, Steven Mackintos and Shaun Parkes.
