Following the events of 'Avengers: Infinity War' there's been a lot of speculation about which characters we'll get to see in further Marvel Cinematic Universe instalments. The latest film saw a few deaths and many of the beloved characters disappear into nothingness.

However, it appears as though at least one of those deaths is final. One 'Infinity War' actor bode farewell to his character via his personal Twitter page, letting onto the fact that he wouldn't be returning to the MCU.

 Elba

The actor in question is Idris Elba, the man behind Heimdall in 'Infinity War' and the three 'Thor' films. Elba has been a part of the MCU since the 2011 release of 'Thor'.

On Twitter, Elba shared a photo of his character and accompanied it with a simple phrase. Heimdall's death happened pretty early on in 'Infinity War' and came at the hands of Thanos himself. Thor, Loki and Bruce Banner watched from afar as the scene unfolded.

Which deaths are final?

Without a doubt, Heimdall's death is final, but what about Loki and Gamora? Are their deaths final too, we wonder. With regard to Loki, it appears as though he's gone for good, although the character has been known to pop up randomly so we wouldn't put it past Marvel if he's still alive. Bit, what about those who faded away at the end of the film?

All signs seem to hint that Gamora is still alive but within the soul stone. As for the remaining characters that disappeared when Thanos used his gauntlet, we believe they're alive too. However, nothing's for certain except our extreme anticipation for the next Avengers film. 'Avengers 4' is set for release in 2019.
