Ever since Tom Hardy announced on Instagram that he'd finished filming for 'Venom' we've been impatiently awaiting further information about the 'Spider-Man' spin-off. The first photo we saw revealed Tom Hardy as reporter, Eddie Brock, but even that wasn't enough to quench our thirst. Luckily we didn't have to wait long until Sony released the first poster for the upcoming film, and now they've gifted us with a trailer.

Whilst Tom Hardy plays both Peter Parker's rival as Eddie Brock and Spider-Man's opponent as Venom, Ruben Fleischer is set to direct the film. In Sam Raimi's 'Spider-man 3' we got a first look at Venom portrayed back then by Topher Grace. For the most part, 'Venom' will base itself on the character as seen in the comics, 'Venom: Lethal Protector' and 'Planet of the Symbionts'. The upcoming film will also feature Michelle Williams and Riz Ahmed.

What about Spider-Man?

'Venom' is already one of the most anticipated films of the year, but the intrigue keeps on coming with a rumour circulating that Tom Holland could make a cameo appearance. The rumour began with Jon Schnepp ('The Death of Superman Lives: What happened?') who revealed during a Collider podcast that he'd seen the actor on the set of 'Venom'. If that happens to be true, it would be a great surprise for fans. 'Venom' is set for UK release on 5th October 2018.
