With famous names such as Eddie Redmayne, Colin Farrell and Johnny Depp already making their mark on the 'Fantastic Beasts' saga, another big name in the business has been announced to join the cast for the second film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2'. That name belongs to Jude Law.

However, the most important part about this announcement is with regards to the role Law will have in the film. The London born actor will play one of the biggest characters created by J.K. Rowling: Albus Dumbledore. The Hogwarts headmaster throughout the eight 'Harry Potter' films was played firstly by Richard Harris and then by Michael Gambon.

Of course, Albus wasn't born the headmaster of the wizarding school and in the second installment of 'Fantastic Beasts' we will see get the opportunity to see what his life was like in his younger years. With David Yates returning to direct, as well as having a helping hand from Rowling herself, we will see Dumbledore as the transfiguration professor at Hogwarts in the film that is set a number of decades before the original 'Harry Potter' films. We will also get to see how the relationship between Dumbledore and the villain of the saga, Gellert Grindeelwald, develops when the film is released in 2018.
