Now that Oscar-winning Kate Winslet is busy promoting her latest project alongs¡de director, Woody Allen, we've heard a lot more from the actress. The actress spoke to EW during the premiere of 'Wonder Wheel' at New York Film Festival, where she took the time to reflect on various things, not least her character in the outstanding, 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'.

"Actually, she's one I'd love to play again because it was just so much fun", the actress mentioned. "And the possibilities for the hair colours were just endless. Wouldn't you like to see Clementine as a 42-year-old woman? I'd love to know what happened to her. I love the idea that she just let herself get really fat and just totally let go of her hangups about her body and just indulged in everything that made her feel happy. And more hair colours and more crazy clothes! I just think that could've been fun".

Taken from the film in question

Although the thought of being able to catch up with the characters from 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind' is tempting, the film, written by Charlie Kaufman and directed by Michel Gondry is perfect as it is, and a sequel isn't necessary. In recent years we've been able to see how the film, which also features Jim Carrey, remains on lists detailing the best films from the 21st century.

Future Projects

Despite all of the above, if you're still hoping to re-encounter Clementine in a follow up film sometime, you'll have a long wait for Winslet is currently well and truly tied up on planet Pandora. Although we're not sure whether the actress will appear in all of the 'Avatar' sequels, she will appear in the second instalment to the saga. If Winslet does appear in the follow up films, she'll be busy until 2025, when the final sequel is set for release. Kate Winslet is also working on the series, 'Moominvalley'.
