With a little over a week remaining until the great night of the Oscar awards, Lady Gaga continues to celebrate the success of 'A Star is Born'. After completely crushing it at the Grammy awards, the artist decided to celebrate with a tattoo which pays tribute to the film and its music; in honour of one of the songs her character covers in the film, 'La Vie en Rose', by Edith Piaf, Gaga tattooed a giant rose on her spine, with the title written in cursive around the flower.

It seems that the singer enjoys being attacked by a needle, because despite the size of tattoo, covering her entire back, she went a step further to prove her love for the film and got a second tattoo. Gaga chose a small musical stave and notes to be tattooed on her inner arm; however, when the actress first uploaded an image to instagram, many fans were quick to notice that the actress had only remembered four of the stave lines, asking her whether she intentionally missed one out.

Gaga soon deleted the image from her instagram, and two hours later re-uploaded a revised version of the tattoo. With that many needles in one day it would be enough to give anyone shivers, which is perhaps why Gaga admitted that one "too many tequilas" was the reason for the mistake in the first tattoo!

'A Star is Born' in the Oscars

The first ever directive project of Bradley Cooper's has not stopped being showered with awards and praise, but the last hurdle remains: the 91st Academy Awards. The film has received a total of 8 nominations, including Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Song. 'Shallow' will be performed at the ceremony, as is tradition for songs nominated in the original song category.

The pair's performance is one of the most highly anticipated parts of the evening, which Cooper admitted they had planned even before receiving the nomination. The two stars will enter the awards with high hopes, but we will have to wait until 24th February to learn the outcome of the night.
