Oceania is the only continent from which there is not a planeteer with a ring granting a specific power.

Captain Planet's color scheme is based on the rings' colors, thus emphasizing the fact that he is the combination of the five powers.

Tom Cruise originally agreed to provide the voice for Captain Planet. He backed out at the last second for an unknown reason.
