Sinopsis
'Chicago Fire' is a fictional TV series from the NBC network produced by Dick Wolf (creator of the 'Law & Order' franchise), along with Derek Haas and Michael Brand. The series premiered in 2012 and is part of the 'One Chicago' television universe, shared with 'Chicago P.D.', 'Chicago Med', and 'Chicago Justice'. Over the years, 'Chicago Fire' has established itself as one of the longest-running series on the network.
The series follows the lives of firefighters and paramedics from the Chicago Fire Department from a dual perspective: professional and personal. It intertwines dangerous rescues and emergency interventions with the emotional conflicts and private relationships of its protagonists.
The station 51 serves as a meeting point, from which Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, and Battalion 25 depend.
After the death of veteran firefighter Andrew Darden, a division occurs among the firefighters. While some support Matthew Casey, others will do the same for Kelly Severide, with these two always blaming each other for their colleague's death.
However, they will all reunite once another of their colleagues dies. There will be new additions to the firefighting team, as Peter Mills arrives to fill a vacant position in Truck 81, trying to emulate the life his father had.
'Chicago Fire' has had a significant impact on American television for its realistic portrayal of emergency services work, as well as its ability to develop long-running emotional storylines. Its success led to multiple crossovers within the 'Chicago' universe.
The main cast is led by Jesse Spencer (Matthew Casey), Taylor Kinney (Kelly Severide), Monica Raymund (Gabriela Dawson), Lauren German (Leslie Shay), Eamonn Walker (Wallace Boden), David Eigenberg (Christopher Herrmann), Christian Stolte (Randall “Mouch” McHolland), and Charlie Barnett (Peter Mills).

Trivia
Some scenes which take place in the Firehouse 51 kitchen are filmed in the actual firehouse kitchen, others are filmed on a studio set. If you see a door to the left of the cooking area, that is the studio set; if you see a drinking fountain, that's the actual firehouse.
Before starring as Firefighter Peter Mills, Charlie Barnett guest appeared in Dick Wolf's 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' as Chuck Mills, a rapist, and in 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' as Dr. Sam Harris.
Dora Madison played Alissa "Jelly Bean" Martin in 'Chicago P.D.', before she was introduced as Jessica "Chili" Chilton, a paramedic, in 'Chicago Fire'. Her "Chili" character did not appear in 'Chicago P.D.'.
