Sinopsis
'Full House' is a TV series created by Jeff Franklin and produced by Miller-Boyett Productions along with Jeff Franklin Productions.
The plot is set in San Francisco, California, and tells the life of Danny Tanner, a man who, after the death of his wife Pam in a car accident, must support his family and take care of his three daughters: D.J., Stephanie, and the little Michelle.
Although he puts a lot of effort into it, Tanner realizes that he cannot do it alone. Thus, he will have the help of his brother-in-law, Jesse Katsopolis, and his best friend, Joey Gladstone, to raise the girls together while they all live under the same roof. Together they become a rather unconventional family, but full of both emotional and comedic situations.
In addition to focusing on Danny's life, the characters of Jesse and Joey undergo personal evolution. The growth of the girls, family relationships, and values of coexistence constitute the main axis of the plot.
'Full House' aired for eight years (1987-1995) on the ABC network and became one of the most beloved, acclaimed, and important series in American and world television. Additionally, it established itself as a reference for family sitcoms.
It had a huge impact, both in the United States and worldwide, due to its optimistic tone, messages about the importance of family, and its combination with a great balance between humor and emotion. 'Full House' marked an entire generation of viewers and remains one of the most beloved productions on television.
The cast was led by Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), John Stamos (Jesse Katsopolis), and Dave Coulier (Joey Gladstone), along with Candace Cameron (D.J.), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie), and sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who alternated in the role of Michelle and gained enormous popularity thanks to the series.
In 2016, Netflix produced a spin-off titled 'Fuller House', which tells the adult life of D.J. Tanner. The series captures the spirit of the original and expands the legacy of one of the most iconic family comedies on television.
