Hijack

'Hijack' is a British television series created by George Kay and Jim Field Smith, starring actor Idris Elba. The first season premieres on June 28, 2023, on the streaming platform Apple TV.

In the fiction, Elba plays Sam Nelson, a lawyer and professional negotiator who must use his tactics to resolve the hijacking of the plane he is on from Dubai to London. This first season is released in Spain under the name 'Secuestro en el aire'. However, following the success of the series, it is renewed for a second season, which this time is set on a train. Thus, the series returns to its original name 'Hijack'.

In addition to Elba, the main cast of the series includes Christine Adams, Max Beesley, and Archie Panjabi. The rest of the actors change from one season to another, with Neil Maskell, Ben Miles, and Kate Phillips in the first, and Albrecht Schuch, Clare-Hope Ashitey, and Karima McAdams in the second.

Idris Elba has received several awards and nominations for his work in 'Hijack', including a Critics' Choice for Best Actor in a Miniseries.
