After canceling the show after its second season, HBO announced that it will produce a special TV movie in 2016 for the series. It will be two hours in length and will serve as the series finale.

Romford is a real suburb in the east of London. Russell Tovey's parents actually operate an airport shuttle business from Romford, and he attended primary school nearby.

Russell Tovey originally auditioned for the role of Patrick, but was unsuccessful. After the show got picked up, the character of Kevin was written with him in mind.
