Preacher

'Preacher' is a TV series created by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Sam Catlin, and is based on the eponymous comic published by DC Comics (Vertigo). A production of AMC in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television and Point Grey Pictures for the AMC network.

The story is based on the life of Reverend Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a preacher who has lost his faith and discovers that God has abandoned Heaven and neglected his responsibilities. This triggers the beginning of a mission for the reverend: to find God and demand an answer.

Although Jesse Custer becomes the only person capable of searching for and finding God, this does not mean he undertakes his task alone. He is accompanied by Tulip O'Hare (Ruth Negga), his former girlfriend, a strong and violent woman with a shady past; and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), an Irish vampire, immortal, alcoholic, and completely unpredictable.

Together they will travel across the country while fleeing from supernatural enemies, fanatical cults, and ruthless assassins. Specifically, a criminal obsessed with Jesse, and the fearsome Saint of Killers Graham McTavish).

In addition to his skills, he possesses an extraordinary power that allows him to impose his will on anyone with just a command. 'Preacher' combines explicit violence, black humor, religious critique, and supernatural elements.

The series aired from 2016 to 2019 and consists of four seasons, throughout which the narrative becomes increasingly dark and ambitious. 

It had a significant impact due to its provocative tone and became a cult series that divided critics and audiences. Despite this, it was highly regarded by fans of the comic and the adult fantasy genre.

The cast also includes Ian Colletti (Arseface), Pip Torrens (Herr Starr), and Julie Ann Emery (Featherstone).
