Chanel #2's real name is Sonya Herfmann, Chanel #5 is Libby Putney and Chanel #3 is Sadie Swenson.
The actresses had to learn to walk in a certain formation to set the right tone for the characters. Co-creator Ryan Murphy would always tell them to listen to music in their head when they're walking. The cast also had to practice their screaming.
Several times, Chanel (Emma Roberts) references teenage sleuth Nancy Drew. Roberts herself played Drew in 'Nancy Drew'.
