Under the Dome

In the novel, a news helicopter crashes into the dome. That helicopter has the CBS logo on it (current home to the series).

Producers consider the dome itself to be the main antagonist of the series.

The series is based on Stephen King's novel 'Under the Dome'. In his afterword, King says he first started the novel with 75 pages in 1976, then set it aside until 2007-2009.
