Biography
Teruaki "Jimmy" Murakami, animator and director, was born in San Jose, California, although his family were moved to the Tule Lake War Relocation Center, one of the concentration camps that the US government created during the World Ward II when He was 9 years old.
In 1982 signatured the animated version of 'The Snowman', a Raymond Briggs' book adaptation. He adapts again the writer's work with 'When the wind blows' produced by David Bowie.
His short film 'The Magic Pear' was nominated in 1968 for an Academy Oscar for Animated Short Film.
