Phylicia Rashad is an african-american actress born in Houston, TX in June 19th 1948. Her father was an orthodontist and her mother was a poet and art director. Her younger sister, Debbie Allen is recently known as her role of Doctor Catherine Avery in ABC'S 'Grey's Anatomy'.

Rashad's most relevant role to date is Clair Hanks Huxtable, wife to Bill Cosby in the 90's TV-show 'The Cosby Show'. Ever since, her filmography was based on TV movies and guest star on TV shows such as 'Psych'.
