Thomas Heise is a German documentary director whose work is a chronicle about the ruptures and the continuations that marked the process of reunification of the divided Germany.
His documentary 'Wozu denn über diese Leute einen Film?' of 1980 was forbidden until 1990. Among other documentaries of his are 'Volkspolizei', 'Neustadt' and 'Heimat Is A Space In Time'.
