Vicente Bonet

Vicente Bonet is a director and screenwriter from Castellón who trained at the Center d'Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya and, later, graduated in Advertising and Public Relations at the Jaume I University of Castellón.

Throughout his professional career, he has combined his work in film with advertising . His debut behind the cameras took place in 2008 with the short film 'A pistos con mis padrees', which was awarded at the VII Edition of the Notodofilmfest, among other competitions.

His jump to feature film comes with 'Platonic Love', a romantic comedy set in Seville, which is written and directed by him. A debut feature whose filming was a real challenge as it had to be done entirely in one week with a very tight budget. Currently, he is already working on his second film.

Most famous short films

'Love Wars' (2012) and 'Miniaturas' (2014) are two of his most popular short films, with more than 200 selections and 23 awards between them. Although his most ambitious and praised project is 'Sputnik' (2016), a science fiction story filmed in English and Russian, which has accumulated 44 awards and more than 130 selections in national and international festivals.

Beyond his eight short films, Bonet is behind several advertising pieces for different advertisers, such as Junta de Andalucía, Novartis or WPP.
