Hinako starts a relationship with a young boy called Minato when she moves to a seaside town. But one day all her life will change because of a tragic event.
Hinako is a young girl who moves to a small seaside town when she gets into college. There, she will look for the peace and quite to face her fears towards the future while she enjoys her favourite hobby: surfing. Hinako will also meet a young firefighter called Minato, with whom she starts a love relationship. The both of them likes their peaceful life at the coast until one tragical day when the boy dies in an accident.
Hinako won´t be able to enjoy anything because of her complete devastation state. But one day, the young girl sings their song at a moment of solitude and Minato appears at the sea. Now, they will have to deal with a relationship on which they only can see each other through water.
Masaaki Yuasa is the director of this anime film, that has a script written by Reiko Yoshida, and has won different awards at film festivals.
