Trailer 'Colony' (2026)

South Korean filmmaker Sang-ho Yeon, known for titles such as 'Train to Busan' and 'Peninsula', presents the first look at his new action project: 'Colony', a South Korean production whose original title is 'Gunche' (군체), which points towards a survival story with science fiction and horror undertones. And plenty of zombies.

The trailer opens with an unsettling premise conveyed through voiceover narration: collective intelligence as the driving force of evolution. The footage and dialogue suggest the presence of a threat that learns, progressing from moving on all fours to walking upright, and beginning to process information in an increasingly sophisticated manner. Throughout the trailer, scenes of extreme tension, physical confrontations, and moments in which the characters debate whether to flee or stand their ground follow in quick succession.

The cast is led by Jun Ji-hyun, an actress with an extensive career in Korean film and television, alongside Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Kim Shin-rock, and Shin Hyeon-bin. Together they form an ensemble of considerable standing within the South Korean industry, which further underlines the weight of the production. The film is scheduled for release in 2026.
