Trailer 'Roommates' (2026)

Canadian director Chandler Levack presents the trailer for 'Roommates', a US-produced comedy set in the world of university life that explores the conflicts, alliances, and everyday chaos that arise when two young women share a space for the first time away from home.

The trailer opens with a clear premise: the greatest challenge of the first year of university is not adapting academically or managing one's social life, but learning to live with a stranger within the four walls of a shared room. Through a succession of situations ranging from parties involving questionable substances to disputes over personal boundaries, the trailer introduces Penny and her flatmate Celeste as two opposing characters who oscillate between camaraderie and outright clashes.

Lines such as "I'd prefer you didn't sit on boys' faces in my bed" or the search for "a ride or die, not just a roommate" set the tone of the film: a generational comedy with situations that will resonate with anyone who has experienced living with strangers.

Released on Netflix on 17th April 2026, the film is produced by Adam and Jackie Sandler and stars their daughter Sadie Sandler.
