Trailer 'The Mongoose' (2026)

Liam Neeson plays Ryan "Fang" Flanagan, a veteran army captain accused of a crime he did not commit who, rather than turn himself in, chooses to run. Marisa Tomei portrays Tara, his ex-wife, who watches his back from a distance. Ving Rhames is Tanker, the man who acts as Flanagan's "eye in the sky" throughout the pursuit. Michael Chiklis plays Major Walter Pope, the officer determined to bring the fugitive in. Brett Tucker rounds out the principal cast.

The trailer for 'The Mongoose' opens with an unequivocal refusal: "I'm never going to be caught again," says Flanagan from behind the wheel as police close in around him. What follows is a succession of high-speed road chases, evasive manoeuvres, and shots of a black Shelby accelerating without restraint, all broadcast live to a public that follows the flight with growing fascination. The preview makes the catalyst clear: Flanagan goes to his ex-wife's home, confronts the man who has been abusing her, and the altercation ends in death.

Behind the camera, Mark Vanselow marks his feature directorial debut. Vanselow has served as Liam Neeson's stunt double and second unit director across more than twenty projects, including the entire 'Taken' franchise, 'The Commuter', 'Honest Thief', 'The Marksman', and 'The Ice Road'. His intimate knowledge of Neeson's action patterns and his expertise in staging stunt sequences proves decisive in a film built upon chases shot with physical continuity.

'The Mongoose' is scheduled for a theatrical release on 30 October 2026, with a simultaneous launch across 37 countries. No release date or distributor has been confirmed for the United Kingdom at the time of this trailer's publication.
