'Abuelos' is a part of a -no one denies it- convenient, awareness campaign. Sometimes truth and compromise don't have to ruin a good movie. This is one of these cases.
ABC
In short, despite the script errors, what it's left is, as usual in the Spanish movies, the actors. If Carlos Iglesias is too soft, Ramón Barea makes it up with a lot of humanity (as Karra Elejalde, but without being funny) and Roberto Álvarez practices a crabby look that I don't know if that explains his Don Juan fame, but of course makes him interesting.
Cinemanía
It's not understandable that 'Abuelos' ends up not taking care of the unexpected events of its main characters in favor of some subplots and co-stars which are not up to its funny and soft premise.
