Anaconda

'Anaconda' is a horror comedy directed by Tom Gormican with a screenplay by Gormican himself along with Kevin Etten. It is a reboot of the 1997 film of the same name starring Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube. This time, the film features Paul Rudd, Jack Black, Steve Zahn, and Thandiwe Newton.

Doug and Griff are two middle-aged friends going through an existential crisis. So they decide to head to the Amazon rainforest to recreate one of their favorite movies from when they were young, 'Anaconda'. There, they will end up encountering a real giant anaconda, which will derail all their plans and turn the filming set into something as chaotic as it is fun.

In this new version of the film, which is also the sixth in the Anaconda saga, the protagonists are Paul Rudd as Ronald 'Griff' Girffen Jr, a professional extra; and Jack Black as Doug McCallister, a wedding, baptism, and communion cameraman. They are joined by Steve Zahn as Kenny Trent and Thandiwe Newton as Claire Simons, two friends of theirs. Also starring are Ione Skye as Malie McCallister, Doug's wife, and Selton Mello as Santiago Braga, a professional snake tamer.

Filmed entirely in Australia, 'Anaconda' premieres in the United States on December 25, 2025, Christmas Day.
