Plot
In a remote rural region of Georgia, Dr. Nina, a firm-charactered obstetrician-gynecologist with unbreakable principles, faces a growing moral and legal storm. Following the tragic death of a newborn during a complicated delivery, the community begins to murmur. What initially seemed like a medical accident soon becomes the center of an investigation that goes beyond the delivery room.
Nina, known for her quiet commitment to women's reproductive rights, has been providing medical assistance to women seeking abortions, despite the severe legal restrictions that prohibit it in the country. As the investigation into alleged medical negligence progresses, so do the rumors that Nina performs illegal abortions. Colleagues, health authorities, and conservative figures in the community begin to question her professional ethics and integrity. For some, she is a criminal; for others, a silent heroine.
Forced to confront both legal and social judgment, Nina must defend not only her career but her principles: the idea that every woman should have the right to decide about her own body, even when the law and society condemn her for it. Amidst the scandal, Nina's story reveals the tensions between professional duty, moral conscience, and imposed laws, in a society where being a doctor, a woman, and a human can be an unbearable burden.
