Plot
'Blaze' is inspired by the life of Blaze Foley, the unsung legend of the Texas Outlaw Music, who died right before hitting his 40s. The movie travels between three different periods of time, reimagining the past, the present and the future of the singer. Between all the stories, it'll investigate his romance with Sybil Rosen, his dark last night on earth and how did his songs and his death affected his fans, his love ones and his enemies.
Ethan Hawke ('Before Sunrise') gives a new life to this unsung singer directing 'Blaze'. The cast is formed by Ben Dickey, Alia Shawkat ('Arrested Development'), Josh Hamilton ('Frances Ha'), Kris Kristofferson ('Blade') and Charlie Sexton. Besides, it includes cameos of Richard Linklater ('Boyhood'), Sam Rockwell ('Moon'), Steve Zahn ('Lean on Pete') and Hawke himself.
